Opportunity for students

We are exploring how to bring students into our niche field of quantitative power trading in the US. That could be as a student worker, as a collaboration on an ambitious master thesis, or a mix of both.

Ideally you are a university student who is eager to learn, and who is excited by algorithmic trading, statistical modelling and optimization.

You would be part of a tiny team — Søren and Thomas — with technical PhD backgrounds in computer science and electrical engineering, based in the centre of the Aalborg University campus. We have extensive experience supervising students, both technically and academically.

Now live in CAISO

We completed the application process through the summer, and qnti.fyi has been accepted as a member of CAISO.

This is our third ISO in North America within a year, after ISO-NE in December 2023 and MISO in July 2024.

It is also our last market entrance of 2024. We now turn our focus to integrating these markets into our infrastructure.

Member of MISO

We became a member of MISO on 1 July 2024, and executed our first virtual trade the same day.

It is a big milestone for us, as MISO is the second ISO we have entered, and it is more than five times larger in daily volume than our first ISO, ISO-NE.

From start to finish we completed the application in less than 45 days. Our ambition is to become a member of each of the seven ISOs in the US, and we hope to announce our third membership soon.
